UMass Recess Study for Third and Fourth Graders

The UMass Pediatric Physical Activity Laboratory is looking for third and fourth graders to join the Smart Minds with Aerobic and Resistance Training during Recess (SMART Recess) Pilot Study! Children in either the third or fourth grade at Fort River School or Crocker Farm School in Amherst, MA, are invited to participate in an 18-week study. Food for Fines: Jones Library

Throughout the month of January 2018, return your overdue library books, DVDs, etc. to The Jones, Munson Memorial, or North Amherst Library, and you will not be charged overdue fines! Instead, the libraries will be collecting nonperishable food items for the Amherst  Survival Center. Please consider making a generous donation to help out those in need.   Return your overdue materials between January 8-31, 2018.     Bring in nonperishable food items.   No Charge!

Florence Bank Community Choice Grants Program

Dear Families, Florence Bank gives away $100,000 each year to community nonprofits through its Community Choice grants program. Florence Bank customers vote for the nonprofit of their choice & all nonprofits getting at least 50 votes receive a grant. Voting is open until December 31: Please vote today!  Last year (2016), the ARPS PGO received got 52 votes & $947.  Some nonprofits get up to $5,000 through the program. The $947 ARPS received went for classroom support, special projects, and more.
