AEF’s 26th Annual Trivia Bee: Oct. 29, 6:30 p.m.
| Neither rain, nor sleet, nor a pandemic will stop the Amherst Education Foundation’s Trivia Bee! SIGN UP for the 26th Annual AEF Trivia Bee — Virtual Edition: Thursday, October 29, 2020 6:30-8:00 p.m., hosted by State Representative Mindy Domb! Participation is free, but we encourage donations benefiting the Foundation and our public schools. You can register to participate here by Tuesday, October 27. It will be lots of fun, and there will even be a Halloween costume contest, so be sure to also email us your costume pic submissions!! Your support is more important than ever so even if you are not participating, consider contributing to the AEF Trivia Bee here. To watch the Trivia Bee, visit AEF’s YouTube, Facebook, or Twitter page on Oct. 29th. How will virtual trivia work? Attendees will participate using a Zoom platform to re-create the Trivia Bee experience from home. Each team will be assigned to a Zoom breakout room. After each question is asked, the Zoom host will send teams into their breakout rooms. The teams discuss and decide on and answer while in the breakout room. When time is up, the host will pull teams back into the main Zoom meeting to hear the answer. Teams keep their own scores (honor system). Watch a video on how Zoom breakout rooms work to learn more. Detailed instructions will be sent to all the players prior to the event. Just in time for Halloween, the Amherst Education Foundation Trivia Bee tradition of wearing creative costumes to the event continues! Since we are virtual this year, we suggest that teams take selfies and send them to us ahead of the event, indicating the name of their team in the email. Due to COVID, team photos may not be possible (unless it is a family team), so individual photos are suggested, and we will group them by team. Winners will be announced during the Trivia Bee on Thursday, October 29, at 6:30 p.m. Email your photos to amherstedfound@gmail.com by Tuesday, October 27.
