Thank You, Crocker Community!
Successful Coat Swap
A huge shout-out to everyone who volunteered their time this past week to help our Crocker Community!!! You came to the school to sort through jackets/coats/hats/gloves/mittens—and then help kids/families/teachers “shop” for much-needed winter gear. (A special round of applause for Sylvia Brandt and James Kwak for all the behind-the-scenes work that led to our successful coat swap!). We started out with 300+ items and ended with about 30 on Saturday afternoon. Thank you to all the families who so generously donated items, as well.
Community Work Morning
And another round of applause goes to all the volunteers (too many to name) who came to help us assemble more outdoor tables, mulch the playground, fix the wavy climber (thank you, Ethan!!), and bring pizza for the hungry crew. A special shout-out to the many kids who came to help their grown-ups—we couldn’t have done it without you!
Please look out for an email about another Community Work Morning. We really appreciate your coming to help spruce up the school grounds for our children and our amazing staff/educators. What’s been really wonderful is getting to know new families and reconnect with old friends.
