Virtual Town Halls on School Start Time Proposals
As noted in last week’s ARPS Update, the District plans to explore multiple options for the time of day school will start for students for the 2021-2022 school year. Over the next six weeks, the District will conduct a public engagement process, which will include two virtual town hall meetings for ARPS families on Monday, January 25, at 9 a.m. (available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5djCKAYb1o4) and again at 6:30 p.m. (available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3s_YbXnPvH0).
For students, there will be a virtual town hall on Wednesday, January 27, beginning at 2:45 p.m. (available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqqvPJ2TrVU). An event specifically for the families of elementary school students in Leverett and Shutesbury is also being planned, and details will be forthcoming.
All of the town hall meetings will be interactive presentations with opportunities for questions and comments. We hope you will attend, but for those who cannot attend, the meetings will be taped and available for later viewing.
